Mandatory Squirrel View Update (SQ16/SQ16 Plus)

We're excited to announce a new update to SquirrelView that will upgrade the existing licensing system. This update is designed to enhance the user experience for both our Basic and Professional plan users, making it easier than ever to get started with SquirrelView.

Please note, this update only applies to the new version of SquirrelView for our SQ16 and SQ16 Plus dataloggers.

Mandatory update

Due to the nature of this update, it is mandatory for continued use of SquirrelView. All users will need to migrate to the new version to continue using the application.

Improvements

Basic plan users will no longer need to use a license file to access the application.
For Professional plan users, we have introduced a new license activation method using license keys to make the activation and renewal process much smoother.

Seamless transition

Despite the need for a mandatory update, we've done our best to make the transition as seamless as possible. If you are a user of the Basic plan, there will be little action required other than installing the new version of SquirrelView. For users of the Professional plan, you will be sent a new license key that you can use with the instructions below to activate your license and continue using SquirrelView as normal.

Data integrity

This update should not interfere with any data you have stored on our SQ16 loggers or in the SquirrelView application. However, please be aware it is your responsibility to ensure your data is backed up securely in case of a fault. If you need any assistance regarding this, please contact our support team for help.
