WEEE Directive

RoHS Directive

All products comply with the requirements of the UK Restriction of the Use of Certain Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 and the EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EC including 2015/863). This means the products are free of Lead and other hazardous substances covered by the directive.

Electromagnetic compatibility EMC

All products comply with the requirements of the UK Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016 and the European Union EMC directive (2014/30/EC).

Electrical Safety

All products provided by Grant Instruments (Cambridge) comply with the requirements of the UK Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the European Union Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EC) for Electrical safety.

REACH Regulations

All products do not contain any substances of very high concern (SVHCs) at greater than 0.1% that have to be identified in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 and therefore does not have an entry in the SCIP database.

POP and PFAS

Due to recent market changes and current and potential upcoming regulations we (Grant Instruments) are actively inquiring and canvassing our suppliers in order to determine which products may contain materials as covered under these new obligations. As these new emerging requirements come into force it is Grant Instruments (Cambridge) Ltd policy to ensure we comply with any regulations that are implemented after the consultation periods have been completed and regulations implemented.

Based on the above statements, we fulfil the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, amending Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 and Directive (EU) 2020/1828, and repealing Directive 2001/95/EC and Directive 87/357/EEC. This includes. the UK’s The General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and any amendments as per Product Safety and Metrology bill, which is currently in the process of implementation bringing the UK in line with European Union.
