Grant welcomes new CEO

CEO announcement

The board of Grant are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Davison as CEO with effect from 1st April 2020, Mark is replacing Linda Harvey who is stepping down to return to her previous portfolio career.

Mark joins us from US company Rfxcel Corporation, where he was Vice-President and General Manager for International Business. He was the first employee outside the USA and has since grown a multi-million business unit with a team of twenty across the EU, Russia, Brazil, China and Japan. He previously ran his own strategy and management consulting company, with offices in Cambridge and Philadelphia. He is passionate about developing new technology and services. Originally, he trained as a biochemist, and spent six years in the lab at GlaxoSmithKline (where he used a highly reliable Grant water bath). He is married with two grown-up sons and has lived locally for fifteen years although is originally from Yorkshire.

Mark commented, “I am delighted to be joining Grant at this exciting time for the business. It is a special company spanning over many decades, with a long-standing history of innovation and a strong portfolio of solutions. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to lead the talented and hard-working team over the coming years to continue to drive and transform Grant.”

The board of Grant would like to extend huge thanks to Linda Harvey who has overseen the business over recent years. The restructuring she has brought about has delivered a return to profitability and the improved global business structure required to support future growth.

“Mark will lead Grant through the next phase of the strategy, exploiting some very exciting new opportunities and delivering significant business growth,” said Ludo Chapman, Board Chairman.

Linda Harvey will work alongside Mark during a transition period with her hours in the business gradually reducing to take on projects elsewhere.
