We are proud the say that we have the ISO 14001:2015 certificate in place that sets the standard for environmental management systems (EMS). Our certification delivers more than regulatory compliance and the ability to meet supplier requirements, it gives you peace of mind too.

Our environmental policy

Grant is passionate about being a responsible corporate citizen and committed to protecting the environment. We are doing this, by complying to environmental practices and adhering to legal requirements, while employing continual improvement in our environmental management system (EMS). Our principles

We are guided by our principles here at Grant, and our commitment to reducing the impact on the environment both locally and globally is in our DNA. We live and breathe by our four following principles:

• We build highly reliable products designed to have long operating lifecycles, this allows energy to be consumed economically over the life of a product
• We use a localised supply chain wherever possible, so that components are sourced close to our manufacturing location
• We use intelligent transportation to reduce emissions, so our suppliers, distributors and customers can be confident that the transportation of goods is managed responsibly
• We value all the resources used in our manufacturing and business operations, and work to reduce our energy and water consumption and recycle materials where possible

Our climate commitment

Grant have committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 as part of the UK’s Business Climate Leaders campaign with SME Climate Hub. We will take concrete steps to reduce our emissions as part of our environmental commitment to limit global warming to 1.5°C and to ensure the long-term stability of the climate.

We believe strong actions on the climate crisis will help protect our wildlife and our habitats and companies must complement climate strategies with goals designed to protect and conserve nature for human prosperity. Together, we will build a sustainable future.

We're compliant with 2015/863/EU, an EU directive governing the products manufactured and supplied by Grant and we comply with the requirements of the 2015/863/EU Directive. For more information visit www.rohs.gov.uk.

We require our suppliers to have an environmental management system that meets the standards of ISO 14001:2015 or equivalent standards.

We comply fully with the Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations 2006. We are a member of the B2B compliance scheme (Scheme Approval Number WEE/MP3338PT/SCH), which handle our WEEE obligations on our behalf. Grant have been issued with a unique registration number by the Environmental Agency, this reference number is WEE/GA0048TZ.
